BIOGRAPHYBen Billingsley
A specialist in emerging media, Ben works with Horn Group's New York clients to develop communications programs that combine traditional PR with some of the more cutting-edge strategies for targeting media across multiple platforms. Ben has developed social media programs for numerous Fortune 500 companies including leading retail, automotive and pharmaceutical brands. Ben previously served as manager of client services at CooperKatz & Co. and was responsible for the overall operations of account teams supporting FiberNet Telecom Group; Topix.net, a leading online news aggregator; Piaggio Group, manufacturer of the iconic Vespa(r) scooter; and Jackson Hewitt, the nation's second largest tax preparation company with over 5,000 franchised and company owned offices nationwide. A seasoned media relations professional, Ben has managed campaigns for MSN TV from Microsoft, MSNBC.com, ICM Breakpoint, Business 2.0 magazine, Jupiter Research, BET.com, Regal CineMedia and The Gallup Organization. He has also managed communications for clients at major industry events including MSNBC Tech Summit, Microsoft Financial Summit, ComDex and the Consumer Electronics Show. Prior to joining CooperKatz, Ben was director of accounts and business development at New York City-based Trylon Communications, where he had day-to-day management responsibility for multiple technology and media accounts. Before joining Trylon, Ben worked for LB Lipman Public Relations, where he was responsible for overseeing press for Paramount Domestic Television and WNYW/Fox 5, Fox Television's flagship affiliate in New York. Ben majored in media studies at Fordham University and was the managing editor of the Fordham Observer.
