Ann N. Videan
APR, president, Videan Unlimited, LLC
Videan has been a public relations practitioner for 25 years. With a substantial corporate background in banking and high-tech PR, plus a three-year power lesson in high-tech agency PR, she now owns Videan Unlimited (www.videanunlimited.com). This 10-year-old marketing connections firm in Mesa, AZ, specializes in creating strategic word-of-mouth marketing for small- to medium-sized businesses.
Career highlights:
- Selected by a national Crown Jewel Award judging panel as the top home-based business in America for 2005.
- Generated the idea and marketing support for client Rhino Internet/Rhino Staging to reintroduce white rhinos to the Phoenix Zoo in 2004.
- Oversaw public relations for Phoenix-area filming of Tom Cruise’s movie Jerry Maguire in 1996.
- Listed in various Who's Who books
- Earned national writing and local presenter awards
- Edited and wrote for Fortune 500 companies America West Airlines, Phelps Dodge Corporation, computer wholesalers MicroAge/Pinacor and Citicorp’s e-Citi, plus Del Webb Corporation, UPS Logistics Group, and Avnet Enterprise Solutions.
- Implemented national public relations campaigns for San Francisco telecom provider Unified TelData; Santa Clara, Calif.-based semiconductor manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices; Swiss die-bonder manufacturer ESEC; and Scottsdale-based branding firm Real World, Inc.
Videan is a past president of the Phoenix chapters of Women in Communications and the Public Relations Society of America. She currently serves on the advisory boards for the Marketing and Sales Executive Connection, and Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA). She also sponsors the aquarium-themed Videan Unlimited Think Tank brainstorming room at ASBA.
A cum laude graduate of Arizona State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism, Videan is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America.
People who know Videan say she’s very detail oriented, highly motivated and organized, and demonstrates a natural ability to link people and ideas through creative and effective writing, marketing and public relations, especially in the electronic realm. She’s rarely seen without a writing tool nearby.
She is also grateful for her close, fun-loving family: technology director husband Bob, 15-year-old “free-runner” son Cutter, and actress 11-year-old actress daughter Codi.
