Additional responsibilities include providing strategic online counsel to offices across Weber Shandwick’s network, client tracking and reporting, online project management, as well as assisting with communication plans and new business presentations. Since joining Weber Shandwick, Ms. Hall has created strong relationships with journalists, online editors and Web bloggers leading to prominent placement for clients such as ExxonMobil, Essilor of America, The Body Shop, Sprint, Alereon, Kayak.com, Texas Tourism, American Airlines, Omni Hotels, Unilever, Life-Line.org, Wal-Mart and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Ms. Hall has been instrumental in building the blog and podcast relations practice. As part of this practice, in 2005 she was successful in establishing a client blog for Alereon, a fabless semiconductor company in Austin Texas. In an effort to increase the visibility of their CEO, position him as an industry thought-leader and differentiate Alereon among their competitors, the Life Without Wires™ CEO blog was developed. Ms. Hall saw this project from concept to completion and provided counsel to Alereon to maintain the blog. Due to Ms. Hall’s efforts and involvement in this project, Alereon and the blog gained significant media coverage among their industry targets resulting in several interviews, briefing opportunities and industry speaking engagements for the CEO. Presently, Ms. Hall continues to grow the blogging practice across the Weber Shandwick network by providing strategic counsel to various clients on blogging best practices and strategy as well as setting up client blogs. Following a four-month internship with Weber Shandwick, Ms. Hall joined the agency in May of 2003 supporting the ExxonMobil account. Her responsibilities included identifying editorial opportunities; creating and maintaining media lists; developing and pitching creative story ideas to traditional and online media; researching events and awards; researching industry trends and statistics information; and producing and editing written communications materials. While working on ExxonMobil, Ms. Hall secured many media placements including a cover story in Minority Engineer, a print and online feature story in Diversity Careers in Engineering & Information Technology and a feature on ExxonMobil’s Diversity Manager as a “Woman Who Made A Difference,” in Minorities and Women in Business. In addition, she played a key role in assisting the coordination and event planning for an ExxonMobil event in Russia on conservation and an ExxonMobil Roundtable event in Washington, D.C. on the importance of advancing women and minorities in math and science fields. This math and science initiative yielded a 2003 Mercury Award for cause-related campaigns. Previously, Ms. Hall worked at Franklin Legal Publishing in Lubbock, Texas as an Electronic Media Specialist. While at FLP, she was responsible for CD-Rom production, Web maintenance, Infobase creation and document design and imaging. Ms. Hall graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University in 2001 with a BA in Telecommunications and a minor in English.
