Doug has a life-long passion for creating innovative media experiences. Starting with a small reel to reel recorder in the third grade to the founding of a major interactive agency and the creation of award winning interactive experiences, he has worked to change how people engage with information and entertainment. Experiences which converge around the idea of combining rich media, interactivity and community in thoughtful, credible ways.
Doug has worked with Microsoft, Visa International, HP, Genzyme, drugstore.com, Akamai Technologies, Comcast, E3Expo and MIT to create projects and platforms that enable audiences to dive deeply into a brand experience and customers to gain valuable insight into the needs of their customers. This includes providing the best strategies for identifying and communicating with key online constituencies, he’s developed content strategies for community building, blogging, search engine optimization, and viral marketing to influence blogs, online communities, social networks and search engines.
At Waggener Edstrom his goal is to extend the reach of PR. Digital solutions that address the needs of the changing marketplace— strategic, connected and creative experiences that are more personalized, social and relevant to the needs of an engaged audience.
