I’m Nicole Schuman, Managing Editor for PRNEWS. Welcome to another edition of Single Shot.
While Single Shot usually covers one story for the week, this edition will address one topic: the annual Consumer Electronics Show or CES.
PRNEWS traveled to Las Vegas last week to cover CES, as an Official Media Partner of the event through the Chief Marketer Network. We followed trends and topics we thought PR and communications professionals would find interesting and essential for the year ahead. Some included AI and creative rights, the state of the creator economy, the benefits of having a PR agency or brand representative at a large trade show and more.
Brands and agencies included in our conversations and discussions encompassed industry juggernauts like Samsung, SAG-AFTRA, Deloitte and Razorfish, amongst others.
Our favorite learning during the event? Pay it forward, said Hollis Guerra, SVP at DBC Communications. Guerra told us, if you can't make an invitation-only high-profile party or good networking event, because of scheduling or a need to rest, hand it over to a younger colleague or someone you think may benefit from the experience instead of letting it go to waste. This can apply to a huge trade show like CES or Cannes or SXSW, but also in everyday, local-event life.
So enjoy browsing our links below, which offer a look into our CES experience and takeaways. And if you attended and have some thoughts or learnings, feel free to chat with me about them at [email protected].Enjoy your week!
