The PR and communications industry celebrated the 2024 PRNEWS Platinum Awards in New York City on Tuesday evening, October 8, at Chelsea Piers’ Lighthouse venue. The glamorous, sold-out affair, which marks excellence in communications across people, teams and campaigns, showcased the best of the best in the business.
"Each year, the nominations continue to impress both PRNEWS and the industry at large,” said Kaylee Hultgren, Content Director at PRNEWS. “It’s fantastic to see all the inspiring work produced by the community—and even more exciting to see how the role of communications is increasingly integrated across organizations and, more and more, clearly instrumental in their success.”
McDonald’s won the Grand Prix, the evening’s highest campaign award, for its “Step into McDonald’s” program, which tapped fan-driven fashion to co-create a new apparel brand with Gen Z-favored shoe brand Crocs.
For the team of the year awards, Superjuice clinched the Agency of the Year – Small award; Firehouse Strategies took home the Agency of the year – Medium award; and Hunter was named Agency of the Year – Large. For In-House Communications Team of the Year, Mastercard took home the honors.
