Kevin directs strategy, planning and management of programs for a variety of clients. A substantial portion of Kevin’s practice is dedicated to working with companies and leaders facing risks and crises, managing issues and reputation. His clients face a range of business challenges and high profile issues. He counsels and prepares senior executives for high value interaction with the media, the public, regulators and other stakeholders. Kevin has worked with a range of companies, in technology, travel, energy, healthcare, business consulting, manufacturing and transportation companies as well as in higher education. He is the director of the firm’s risk and crisis communication practice and a member of the global crisis and issues management leadership team.
Kevin served as public affairs manager and spokesman for a multinational energy company, and in that capacity he developed and implemented strategic programs in response to specific threats and crises as well as general programs focused on labor relations and issues management. Previously, Kevin was vice president for public affairs for a California-based defense contractor. He handled the company’s government and public affairs initiatives, represented the company on Capitol Hill, managed a political action committee and coordinated labor relations. At the beginning of his career, Kevin worked in the United States Senate where he was involved in policy and community outreach and coordinated media and other communication projects.
Kevin has lectured on crisis communication, reputation and issues management at the University of San Francisco, the University of Southern California, as well as at conferences sponsored by the Conference Board, the Arthur Page Society and the Bay Area Council. Kevin attended the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science
