Rachel Lenzi is a college/high school sports enterprise reporter at The Buffalo News, and she has worked in sports journalism since 1997. She currently covers four college athletic programs in Western New York, and is examining the intersection of college athletics and the Covid-19 pandemic. A native of Annapolis, Md., she has worked at newspapers and at digital publications across the country, where she has also reported on the spread of infectious diseases in high school wrestling, the pros and cons of junior hockey programs in New England and contract bonuses in major-college football coaching contracts.
