
Facebook, move over. Well, not exactly, but the social networking giant certainly has more competition these days for both mind share and all-important eyeballs.
Traffic for Tumblr, for example, more than doubled from the fourth quarter of 2014, to the first quarter of 2015, according to the latest Bitly Index.
The microblogging service saw its biggest increase among desktop users.
In contrast, Facebook’s desktop use is on the decline but Facebook mobile is going gangbusters.
Either way, the infographic below, courtesy of Bitly, shows that online communities are an increasingly crucial audience for brands and organizations alike.
People who are heavily patched into social sites can—depending on what you bring to the conversation—help to amplify your message and attract influencers.
